What makes a technology useful to the learning process and how do we incorporate it? Rosell-Aguilar (2014) credits with pedagogy, technology and design for an application to be effective. Nguyen et al (2022) illustrated this in relationship to the TPACK framework. This week the investigation is for mandatory history topic Australians at War (Depth Study 3 of Stage 5).
Quizlet A Behavioural approach pedagogy
‘Spaced repetition is a smart way to help you remember things for a long time.’ (quizlet). Quizlet is a lower order thinking application. Bower (2017) would classify it as a tool for the ability of ‘remember’. Here is a WW1 quizlet (https://quizlet.com/au/817890981/world-war-1-flash-cards/?new) I created this post. It has 26 events from the First World War, these are initially shown as flash cards. Quizlet allows the user to test the knowledge they are learning by additionally engaging a multiple choice of the data.

Tran and Nguyen (2023) found quizlet to be beneficial and fun for the students. Zeitlin and Sadhak (2023) endorsed this result of the program being fun, they furthermore commented upon the ease of use.
Creating the quiz was straight forward activity to do. There is also a simple ability to edit the data after the creation. Images can be included, although they were not here. The visual appearance can also be edited, limited to the colour of the words.
